Harp Sangha
Chairman and Interm-CEO

Mr. Sangha has been involved in capital markets for over 30 years, starting his career as Investment Advisor in 1986 and gained his affinity for raising capital for early stage projects in the natural resource field. Mr. Sangha has broad international business experience, negotiating business partnerships in North America, Central America, Africa and Russia. He has played critical roles, including Director, CEO and President for a number of start-up companies in the U.S. and Canada.

Matt deFouw

Matt deFouw is a technology visionary with more than 15 years of proven leadership. Matt has been working in the crytpocurrency space since 2010 and has always been an enthusiastic proponent of BlockChain technology.

In early 2000, Matt and his team started with the Iredale Group. After that company was acquired in 2002 Matt transitioned from construction to payment processing, launching Gateway Express, which was acquired in 2004 by GlobalPayNet. In 2005 Matt and the team started Bignition resulting in Trader/Yellow Pages becoming an investor and partner in the company, with later full acquisition by Trader in 2012. During the build out of Bignition, Matt and his team acquired a 10,000 sq ft tier-3 Datacenter in Kamloops B.C. in 2011. After the success of Bignition, the team went on to build Chatterfox which was acquired in 2017.

As a co-founder and the current Chair of Kamloops Innovation (KIC), Matt has been instrumental in the growth of the Kamloops tech sector. KIC is a non-profit society that serves the Central Interior region of British Columbia, and is a BCIC Acceleration Network partner. KIC proudly operates with support from the British Columbia Innovation Council (BCIC), National Research Council (NRC-IRAP), Southern Interior Development Initiative Trust (SIDIT), Thompson Rivers University (TRU) and the City of Kamloops.

The BitReturn concept and business model has been an internal project for Matt and his team since 2010. After the sale of Chatterfox and with the meteoric rise of Ethereum and Bitcoin's value, Matt has directed his focus to BitReturns’ successful operation.

Tony Tong is co-founder and director of Pacific Financial Services Limited, a leading risk management consultancy firm with offices in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China. He has spoken at the APEC International Finance & Technology Summit, China Venture Capital Forum and China Hi-Tech Fair. Tong graduated with bachelor's degree in mechanical and industrial engineering from the University of Minnesota. Derek Rathbun

Derek Rathbun is a serial entrepreneur with 20 years experience in business. His first venture was in the clothing industry producing game jersey’s and sports apparel which was quickly acquired. After a successful run of importing novelty motorcycles Derek eventually ended up in the technology sector which is where he has been for the last 12 years. During that time he has started numerous technology ventures from the ground up by seeing a need in an industry, surrounding himself with the right people to create a solution that solves a current problem or simply enhances the way business is done. Derek has conceptualized software solutions, led teams to develop and produce those ideas into reality, created sales and marketing strategies, hired and led sales and service teams who adopt and implement his strategies, negotiated international distribution partnerships as well as the eventual sale of businesses.

Along with his team Derek has created multiple companies, created disruptive technologies, led successful go to market strategies, assembled teams, and undergone several acquisitions.

Craig Alford
VP Corporate Development

Mr. Alford, has wide-ranging global business development and operational experience having worked throughout North and South America, Southeast and Central Asia, Australia, Africa, Russia and China. Mr. Alford has served as a director and in senior management for a number of public companies and has played a key role in successfully raising millions of dollars in equity. His experience has included independent consulting assignments, as well as various technical and managerial positions within major multinational companies. Mr. Alford has been responsible for the budgeting and direct expenditure of hundreds of millions of dollars and has developed comprehensive economic analysis for billion dollar M & A transactions for some of China’s largest companies. Mr. Alford holds both an Honours Bachelor of Science and a Master’s Degree in Science.

David Chin
VP Business Development

David is a business and marketing specialist with international vision and experience. Just as China was emerging as a dominant global manufacturing Hub, he capitalized on this opportunity by starting Business Mate International Marketing Ltd. to assist Chinese manufacturers in promoting their products globally. During that time, together with his team, David travelled worldwide and participated in over 20 international trade shows in countries such as Brazil, Poland and the U.K.

David has operated a recruitment operation in Vancouver for the last 8 years where he has built a phenomenal business network including but not limited to the engineering and information technology sector.

Byron McDonald
VP Marketing

Starting in 2012, Byron remains a passionate participant in the blockhain space. He brings a diverse experience set to Bitreturn including twelve years as a Sales & Marketing Executive and more than seven years as a Commercial Real Estate Agent and Business Consultant. Byron completed his MBA at Royal Roads University in 2003 and Certified Business Intermediary designation in 2011.

Louis Silver

Louis Silver has decades of successful business experience with both Fortune 500 companies and early-stage enterprises in Management, Corporate Finance, Marketing and Strategic Planning. In addition, he was Managing Director of Montgomery Capital Advisers, a mid-market boutique investment banking firm. Louis has an MBA and has completed doctoral studies in Marketing.

Allen Woo is a seasoned entrepreneur and executive with over 30 years of business leadership experience. Allen has significant holdings in several verticals in Central/South America, Asia, North America, and Europe. Mr. Woo currently owns several corporations which operate in the following industries: food service, call center, data center, software development, supermarket and commercial rental property. Mr. Radic is currently the President of Cidar Group Holdings, its focus is on buying small companies with established revenues streams. Joseph began his career at NDB Capital Markets, and he earned his undergraduate degree from St. John’s University in Transportation and Logistics Management.
